Hi Liz and co, I keep looking at your photos you seem to be having a great time. I am in awe as I am far too lazy to do what you are doing. Liz you do realise that you will need at least 1 CPD session at work to tell all!! XX

Can't be much left now that you've crossed the border ;-) Just keep the waterproofs handy. You've had good training for the last two weeks so the hills will just vanish behind you - if you keep pedalling! Keep it up, we're all following you closely - from a safe distance.

Hi Both, You are completely MAD!!!! especially in this heat! But congratulations on your fantastic progress on the cycle ride. I got on my bike last week for the 1st time in a year- cycled for an hour and it nearly killed me! You need to find a good physio for your return!

Hi you lot. We tried to get hold of you for Luiz's birthday (a couple of times) but to no avail. We hope that all is well with you all and that the intrepid cyclists are behaving themselves and not terrorising the UK on their way to fame and stardom. Support team I trust that you are all in good spirits and having a ball. Let us know how you all are sometime! We have just hosted 4 lads (Heathers son and his mates) who have just cycled from Cairo to Cape Town. Sound like a challenge Clarice??Food for thought! Much love from all in George.

Well, just got in from my evening exercise of - ahem - 3 miles (..oops missed the '0' off the end, silly me) round the block, and, suitably exhausted, sat at the computer to see what my crazy cuz and the crazier Clarice are up to. Wishing I had as much energy and enthusiasm, you're looking good ladies....! We're currently looking for volunteers to 'fuel' our alternative energy source - thinking in terms of bikes hooked up to dynamo's....any takers...?? Can we suggest adding a sort of thermometer to show how much you're raising by doing this crazy, crazy ride? Here's to you m'luv's and the vital support crew, hope they're having a ball too. We will see you on the way somewhere, so don't slack, 'cos we'll catch you!! KEEP IT UP!!!! (*yawn* I really should move my not-at-all-sore-backside-and-legs to my very comfy bed after a nice hot shower...) On the plus side, all I have to do tomorrow is work. Wow, I'm so envious! With 4 kids in tow, hopping on my bike and heading off into the horizon is only a distant dream!!! But I'm not envious of how sore your bottoms will be by the end of it!
Perth is enjoying night temps of almost freezing at the moment so enjoy the fair English summer!
